Kyle Larson is tackling one of the toughest feats in motorsports, the 500 miles of the Indianapolis 500 then the 600 miles at Charlotte for the Coca-Cola 600. Here is how to stay tuned to every mile of Larson’s 1,100 on Sunday.
Kyle Larson’s attempt at the Indianapolis 500 and Coke 600 double begins Sunday morning. Coverage of the Indianapolis 500 begins at 11 am ET on NBC and their streaming platform, Peacock. Additionally, social media will be covering Larson as he races at Indianapolis. Follow the Arrow McLaren IndyCar team on X (@arrowmclaren) and Hendrick Motorsport’s #5 Team (@hendrick5team) for any updates on Larson from Indianapolis.
Kyle, as soon as he gets out of the #17 Chevrolet in Indy, will hop on a quick helicopter flight to an awaiting private plane for his trip to Charlotte. There are several different options for Flight Trackers to watch Larson as he takes to the air on his way to NASCAR’s longest race.
NASCAR’s longest race, the Coca-Cola 600, begins at 6 PM ET. Coverage is available on FOX and the FOX Sports Streaming App. Again for additional updates, follow the Hendrick Motorsports #5 Team X account for additional and quicker coverage of Kyle Larson.
The weather might affect Kyle Larson’s Double:
The weather could play a factor in if Larson can get into the racecar at Indianapolis. Hendrick Motorsports has said the Coke 600 is the priority for Larson, and he will race that race on Sunday. IndyCar does not allow substitute drivers and if the start of the 500 is delayed enough to affect Larson getting to Charlotte, it is believed either Tony Kanaan or rookie Nolan Siegel can race the #17 Chevy.
Weather.com is reporting a 73% chance of precipitation in Indianapolis on Sunday, with heavy showers in the afternoon.
If the Indy 500 is pushed to Monday, coverage will be on USA and not on NBC. Coverage has not been announced when it would begin but is believed to be in the afternoon on Monday.
Larson is one of the greatest race car drivers in the world at this moment. Sunday will be a testament to his skills and ability, tackling the Indy 500 and Coke 600.
