The weather could play a factor in if Larson can get into the racecar at Indianapolis. Hendrick Motorsports has said the Coke 600 is the priority for Larson, and he will race that race on Sunday. IndyCar does not allow substitute drivers and if the start of the 500 is delayed enough to affect Larson getting to Charlotte, it is believed either Tony Kanaan or rookie Nolan Siegel can race the #17 Chevy.
Weather.com is reporting a 73% chance of precipitation in Indianapolis on Sunday, with heavy showers in the afternoon.
If the Indy 500 is pushed to Monday, coverage will be on USA and not on NBC. Coverage has not been announced when it would begin but is believed to be in the afternoon on Monday.
