Campos Racing has announced that Spaniard Josep ‘Pepe’ Marti will be retaining his seat with them for the 2023 Formula 3 season.
Campos Racing has confirmed that Pepe Marti will be retaining his seat with them for the 2023 Formula 3 season. This will be his second season in the series after making his debut last year. Marti will be partnered with rookies Christian Mansell and Hugh Barter. He is the 25th driver to be announced for the season.
Marti’s 2022 season
Marti made his Formula 3 debut in 2022 after finishing third in the Spanish Formula 4 Championship with Campos Racing. Before beginning the campaign in March he spent January and February racing in the Formula Regional Asian Championship (FRAC) where he finished second, 60 points behind champion Arthur Leclerc.
Partnered with Hunter Yeany and David Vidales, Marti had a poor rookie season in F3, scoring just two points throughout the season (the Sprint Race at the Italian Grand Prix). Marti finished 26th in the standings behind Vidales but ahead of Yeany who spent the majority of the season recovering from an injury.
Marti spent the remainder of 2022 racing in the Masters Endurance Legends series. In the two races he competed in, Marti won pole, set the fastest lap, and won.

Following the announcement, Marti stated:
“I’m very pleased to continue my involvement in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Campos Racing for 2023. We completed a promising season, constantly learning and improving our results, and the season came to an end with very positive testing sessions. I hope to have a strong season and continue my positive feedback with the team.”
Adrian Campos Jr (Team Principal of Campos Racing) added:
“It’s such a pleasure to have Pepe (Martí) with us for a third consecutive season, because our goal has always been to help our drivers through the single-seater pyramid towards F1, and Pepe is a perfect example. He is one of those that make up our large family and we are looking forward to achieving strong results together in his second FIA F3 season, because our team has plenty of trust placed in him.”
