This morning Scuderia Ferrari became the fifth Formula 1 team to reveal their car this week following the unveiling of the Sauber C36, Renault R.S.17, Force India VJM10, and the Mercedes W08.
Ferrari unveiled their car live online, broadcasting the release from Fiorano, Italy.
The SF70H will be driven by Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen over the course of the next season, with the team’s driver lineup remaining the same for the third year in succession.
For 2017, Ferrari will be aiming to return to the front of the grid, aiming to stand on the top step of the podium and to beat Mercedes in the championship.
Like other teams so far, the Ferrari SF70H features many similar features, including the mounting of a ‘shark fin’ on the engine cover, and the use of a ‘thumb’ nose once again on the front wing. The Ferrari also features the use of a ‘T’ wing that has been mounted to the back of the shark fin – an aerodynamic loophole that has also been exploited and exposed by Mercedes.
The SF70H will be on track and in action on February 27 for the first day of pre-season testing at the Circuit de Catalunya, in Barcelona, Spain.
