ART Grand Prix arrive at the Hungarian GP determined to replicate their strong showing in Belgium and head into the summer break on a high.
ART Grand Prix Aims to Show a Great Performance at the Hungarian GP
At Spa-Francorchamps, the team gathered valuable points from both drivers. Despite challenging conditions, including rain, they secured two podium finishes and demonstrated strong pace throughout the weekend. ART Grand Prix arrive at the Hungarian GP hoping to replicate this.

Victor Martins took second place in the Sprint Race, while Ritomo Miyata achieved the same result on Sunday, marking his first-ever Formula 2 podium.
Their goal in Hungary is to maximise points, particularly in the team standings, where they currently hold 89 points, just 18 shy of Prema Racing in seventh place.
This narrow margin not only highlights the fluctuating form the French team has experienced over the past year, but also illustrates how a single positive weekend can alter the championship.

Victor Martins Targets Race-Day Consistency
Widely regarded as one of the top qualifiers on the current Formula 2 grid, Victor Martins has frequently demonstrated impressive one-lap pace. The Frenchman has secured multiple pole positions and is known for getting up to speed quickly.
However, converting that speed into race-day results has proven more challenging. At Silverstone, for instance, Martins lost pole position before reaching the first corner due to a slow start, dropping to third. His race continued to unravel, ending in retirement after front wing damage, while running in sixth.
In contrast, he recovered four positions in the Belgian Sprint Race and crossed the line, earning a podium finish.
Given ART Grand Prix’s ongoing struggles in 2024, Martins has struggled to display his capabilities. So, Hungary, where he delivered strong performances last year, could offer the perfect backdrop for him to reaffirm the promise shown in Belgium.

Ritomo Miyata Looks to Sustain Momentum
Ritomo Miyata’s second season in Formula 2 has fallen short of expectations so far, both for the driver and the team. However, the recent round in Belgium has lifted spirits.
The Japanese driver impressed in qualifying, securing second place on Friday. While he picked up points in the Sprint Race, the real satisfaction came on Sunday in the Feature Race.
The second season of Ritomo Miyata in Formula 2 is not delivering the results that the driver and the team anticipated, but the Belgian round has improved overall morale. The Japanese had achieved an excellent qualifying on Friday, where he placed second.
Despite going off track with a few laps to go, post-race penalties for two drivers ahead elevated Miyata to second place, securing his first podium in Formula 2.
Now, he arrives at the Hungarian GP with ART Grand Prix feeling confident and aims not only to score points but also to challenge for further podiums.
Following a disappointing 2024 campaign, ART Grand Prix continue to work on unlocking the full potential of the new Dallara F2 2024 chassis. With the Hungarian GP featuring a technical circuit they know well, the team hope it will offer the conditions needed to confirm the upward trend seen at Spa.
