Prime Video Builds on NASCAR Relationship, Joins Chase Elliott and Hendrick Motorsports

It’s no secret that NASCAR will take its first adventure into the streaming world this season, as five race dates will be broadcast on Amazon’s Prime Video. The streaming service has jumped into the sports world, which is no different. If that wasn’t enough the service has also found a perfect driver to help promote it. That’s right, Prime will partner with NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver Chase Elliott, and its most successful team, Hendrick Motorsports.

Prime Video Builds on NASCAR Relationship, Joins Chase Elliott and Hendrick Motorsports

Chase Elliott will carry the Prime colors for three races for the next several seasons. The move makes up for the loss of Hooters, which used to sponsor Elliott’s No. 9 three times a year. The new scheme was officially unveiled by HMS on Wednesday. This relationship will be huge for both the driver, team, and Prime.

As stated this scheme will run three times a year until 2027, according to NASCAR.com. Prime will also serve as an associate sponsor all season, so the famed Prime smile logo will be featured aboard Elliott’s No. 9 every week. The team also confirmed that three races will be the final three races leading up to NASCAR’s debut on the streaming surface.

Those races are Talladega (April 27th), Kansas (May 11th), and The All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro (May 18th). This is a great lead in promotion as Prime takes over race coverage starting with the Coca-Cola 600.

In all the relationship between Prime, NASCAR, and now Elliott and Hendrick Motorsports certainly looks like a match-made deal.

Relationship Is Huge For the Sport

It’s very clear that Prime was looking for a way to further invest in NASCAR, and what better way than to sponsor the sport’s Most Popular Driver? That was clear from the press release shared by HMS.

Stacey Rosenson, the Head of U.S. Sports Marketing, at Prime Video, spoke about the new relationship via the release.

” We’re thrilled to work with Hendrick Motorsports and Chase as we begin our NASCAR coverage in 2025,” Rosenson said. ” It represents an exciting extension of our new NASCAR relationship. Chase is a wildly popular, championship-winning driver, and we can’t wait to see the No. 9 Prime Video team in action as we approach our streaming debut.”

Team owner Rick Hendrick was also proud of the new relationship.

” Welcoming Prime Video to our team is a proud moment,” Mr. H said. They’ve committed to our sport in a big way and are taking an innovative approach to delivering world-class broadcasts and content to our fans. Hendrick Motorsports is ready to support their efforts, and we look forward to building something special together over the next three years.”

Elliott Was the Perfect Choice

This move was perfect by Prime, and HMS, Chase is the perfect choice to carry such a big partner. Especially with how much he helps sell the sport. No offense to some of the other great names in this sport. Look how well the NFL does on Prime and all of the great sports figures there. Elliott was a perfect choice to help bring eyeballs to the sport in this new era.

The 2020 Champion appears ready to carry Prime’s colors, as he shared his thoughts, appreciating the opportunity to have them as a sponsor.

” It’s great to see Prime Video come into NASCAR and now join us at Hendrick Motorsports and the No. 9 team,” Elliott said. ” They’re leaders in entertainment and technology, and I think that’s a perfect fit on a lot of levels. Seeing a fresh perspective on our sport is cool, and I’m happy to be a part of the effort and have their support.”
