Kaz Grala to Attempt 2024 Daytona 500 With Front Row Motorsports

Kaz Grala will race the No. 36 Ford for Front Row Motorsports in the 2024 Daytona 500 on Sunday, February 18th in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Front Row Motorsports made the announcement on Tuesday. Ruedebusch Development and Construction will serve as the team’s primary sponsor for the event. The company, based out of Madison, Wisconsin, has partnered with Grala in both the Xfinity Series and Craftsman Truck Series. The team’s No. 36 entry does not have a charter and could have to drive for a spot in the Daytona 500. His efforts for the Great American Race will come alongside full-time Cup Series drivers Todd Gilliland and Michael McDowell. Additionally, Island Brands USA and Fire Dept. Coffee will also join Grala’s attempt as associate sponsors.

Boston, Massachusetts native Kaz Grala has raced in seven Cup Series events. In 2020, he made his debut driving Richard Childress Racing’s No. 3 entry for a sidelined Austin Dillon. He rallied to an incredible 7th place finish at the Daytona Road Course becoming one of few drivers in history to place Top 10 in their debut. His best finish, however, would come a season later at Talladega Superspeedway placing 6th for Kaulig Racing. Grala also placed 4th in his 2018 Xfinity Series debut in the Daytona opener.

The now-25-year-old became the youngest driver in NASCAR history to win a pole and race at Daytona International Speedway. Kaz Grala, in only his tenth Craftsman Truck Series start, crossed the line first in the 2017 NextEra Energy Resources 250 at just 18 years of age.

Grala enters the Cup Series following a year of Xfinity competition driving Sam Hunt Racing’s No. 26 Toyota. He finished the season ranked 17th in points with two Top 5’s and nine Top 10’s. Grala will race a part-time schedule in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season set for 25 appearances in Rick Ware Racing’s No. 15 car.

The 2024 Daytona 500 will take place on Saturday, February 18th from Daytona International Speedway. Five hundred miles will be contested on FOX at 2:30 pm ET (11:30 pm PT). Radio coverage will take place on both the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM.
