Formula E: Portland E-Prix Predictions and How to Watch

Jake Dennis, Avalanche Andretti Formula E, Porsche 99 X Electric Gen3

Formula E is ready to debut in Portland, Oregon. This is going to be Round 12 and it will be fundamental for the championship fight.

The series has already competed in the United States, with races being hosted in New York, Miami, and Long Beach, but it never went to Oregon before. The Portland E-Prix will take place at the Portland International Raceway, a familiar circuit to Indycar fans.

The circuit – Portland E-Prix

The Portland International Raceway hosted many motorsport events, from NASCAR Truck Series to Indycar. The circuit is 3,190 kilometers long and has one of the longest tracks ever experienced by Formula E. The layout used during the E-Prix will be slightly different from the Indycar’s one, with FIA choosing to add 20 meters.

Current standings

Drivers’ Championship

The fight for the 2023 world champion’s title is becoming tighter every weekend. Pascal Wehrlein is now back on top of the standings, but Jake Dennis is only one point behind him and Nick Cassidy has a five-point gap on the Andretti’s driver. The Portland E-Prix will decide the future of the battle and, maybe, the championship itself.

  1. Pascal Wehrlein – 134 points
  2. Jake Dennis – 133
  3. Nick Cassidy – 128
  4. Mitch Evans – 109
  5. Jean-Eric Vergne – 97

Teams’ Championship

In the teams’ standings, Porsche is leading with a decent gap over Envision, but an unlucky E-Prix could shake the order.

  1. TAG Heuer Porsche – 212
  2. Envision Racing – 190
  3. Jaguar TSC Racing – 171
  4. Avalanche Andretti – 156
  5. DS Penske – 139

Race predictions

After the recent E-Prixs, Jake Dennis proved to be competitive and a tough rival for Pascal Wehrlein. Could the American race bring the Andretti driver on top of the standings, or will the Porsche driver maintain the leadership?

  1. Jake Dennis
  2. Mitch Evans
  3. Maximilian Guenther
