Rodin Carlin has completed their 2023 Formula 3 lineup as Ido Cohen makes the switch from Jenzer Motorsport.
21-year-old Ido Cohen has decided to switch to the newly branded Rodin Carlin after an unsuccessful 2022 season with Jenzer Motorsport. This will be Cohen’s third season in Formula 3 and his second with Carlin having raced for them in his debut season in 2021. Cohen will be alongside Hunter Yeany and Ollie Gray. He is the 28th driver announced for the upcoming campaign.
Carlin and back again
Cohen made his Formula 3 debut in 2021 with Carlin Buzz after finishing seventh with the team in the Euroformula Open Championship, scoring two podiums, the year before. After completing the post-season test in Jerez he was signed on for the 2021 season alongside Jonny Edgar and Kaylen Frederick. Cohen had a poor year suffering five DNFs and scoring zero points, putting him 24th in the standings.
In 2022, Cohen spent January racing in the Formula Regional Asian Championship for six races, finishing 21st with four points. In March, he decided to switch to Jenzer Motorsport for his second year in F3 but found little improvement as he only scored two points in the season (during the Feature Race in Austria) and finished 26th in the final standings.

Following the announcement, Cohen stated:
“I’m very happy to back with everyone at Rodin Carlin again. When I went back for my seat fit, it was like going back to family. The team have made some positive changes since we were last racing together and I’m excited to see everything come together again when we get on track next week in Bahrain.”
Stephanie Carlin (Team Principal of Rodin Carlin) added:
“We have a great working relationship together and a good understanding of what Ido needs to feel comfortable in the car. Combined with Ido’s experience in the championship, we look forward to making a positive start to the season in pre-season testing.”
