Euroformula Open driver Oliver Goethe is set to continue his duties as a substitute for Hunter Yeany at the Belgian Grand Prix while he continues to recover.
While Hunter Yeany continues to recover from a broken wrist after a collision in Austria, Campos Racing has confirmed his replacement. Oliver Goethe will continue as the substitute for Yearny after an impressive Hungarian Grand Prix before the summer break.
Goethe’s debut saw him earn an impressive reverse-pole for the Sprint Race and despite dropping down the field he managed to finish a respectable P8, earning him three points. A disappointing Feature Race that saw him drop to P28, but Campos Racing clearly has seen potential in the young German.

Speaking about the opportunity Goethe stated, “I’m very excited to do another race in F3 with Campos! The last race in Hungary went very well and there was a lot of promise to get some good results so hopefully, I can maximize that and most importantly gain experience and improve as much as possible!”
Unfortunately for Yeany, with the Belgian Grand Prix kicking off the triple-header that will round of the Formula 3 season, it’s unlikely that he will be stepping into a race car soon.
