As the American F1 audience grows, so does its footprint on the racing calendar. Joining COTA this year will be the brand new Miami Grand Prix.
Starting in 2022 the Miami International Autodrome will be home to United States’ second Formula 1 track. The Miami Grand Prix has signed a 10-year deal with F1. The new circuit is being built around Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium, home to the NFL’s Miami Dolphins. The inaugural F1 Miami Grand Prix will take place on May 8th.
Miami becomes America’s second track on the current schedule alongside COTA. Circuit of the Americas (COTA) has become a fan and driver favorite. Now, F1 welcomes in the glitz and nightlife of Miami. A perfect addition for this global series. Here’s a quick look at some of the progress being made at the Miami Grand Prix.

That’s an aerial look at the future Miami Grand Prix. The circuit will surround the Hard Rock Stadium and its adjacent parking lots. The race quickly sold out after F1 released tickets for the maiden Miami GP.

The images above give the latest looks at Turn 18 and a massive grandstand. The W Series will kick off its 2022 calendar in Miami. Their opening weekend will take place as a support event alongside F1, the weekend of May 6th through 8th.

Does anything say Miami & F1 more than an in-track Beach Club? Hard Rock is building a full beach club inside one of the new turns. Cabanas, lounge chairs, pools, and bars.
