For the third time in six years, NASCAR postponed the spring race at Bristol Motor Speedway, due to unyielding weather in the Bristol area.
The rain won. Bristol is on hold.
NASCAR postponed Sunday’s Food City Dirt Race for the NASCAR Cup Series to Monday at 4 p.m. FOX will carry the TV broadcast and PRN and SiriusXM will carry the radio broadcast.
NASCAR officials announced on Sunday, “Due to overnight weather and forecast, the Sullivan County flood warnings, and safety concerns, NASCAR has postponed all of Sunday’s on-track activity.”
It follows the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt, which runs Monday at noon. FS1 will carry the TV broadcast and MRN and SiriusXM will carry the radio broadcast.
Typical for East Tennessee this time of year, rain storms pounded the area around Bristol Motor Speedway. It flooded entire campgrounds around the track.
