Top Fox Broadcaster Reuniting With Former Partner

It’s been a couple of years since we’ve seen Fox Sports top NFL play-by-play broadcaster Kevin Burkhardt call a game with anyone other than Tom Brady.  But now, Burkhardt will be reunited with former partner Greg Olson to call the Fanatics Flag Football Classic for the network.

Burkhardt and Olsen worked together for two years as the top pairing for Fox’s NFL broadcasts, including the network’s broadcast of Super Bowl LVII in 2023, but were split up when the network hired Brady to be their top NFL color analyst.  Olsen was paired with Joe Davis as the #2 team for the network.

According to the release from Fox, this flag football event will feature three 12-person teams: two containing former current and former NFL stars and other athletes, and the third being the U.S. Men’s National Team.  Brady and Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts will captain one team, while Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels and Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will captain the second.

Originally scheduled to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the game venue was switched to BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, where flag football will be held during the 2028 Olympic Games, due to the conflict currently ongoing with Iran.  The game will take place March 31 at 4:00 pm Eastern, airing on Fox, the Fox One streaming service, and Tubi.  Internationally, it can also be seen on Fanatics’ YouTube channel.
