The Commodores are coming off their first win over LSU in 35 years, beating the Tigers 31-24 at home to improve to 6-1. Meanwhile, the Tigers also get to 6-1 on the season after defeating Auburn 23-17 on the road in overtime.
Nashville hosts College Gameday for the third time, and the second to be held on campus at Vanderbilt. The last time the show came to a Commodores game was October 4, 2008 when then-19th ranked Vanderbilt hosted #13 Auburn. The Commodores would win that game 14-13. The show also came to Nashville in April 2019 in connection with the NFL Draft, which originated from the city that year.
Losses Limited Possible Sites For College Football Pregame Show
Only three games feature clash of Top 25 teams
The Week 9 slate of possible sites for the top college football pregame show took a hit with six AP top-25 teams losing in Week 8. The show has already gone to Eugene, Norman, and Miami this year, and Ole Miss was the opponent this past week in Athens. There are only three games that feature two Top-25 teams: Missouri at Vanderbilt, Ole Miss at Oklahoma (where College Gameday has already been this year), and Texas A&M at LSU (who lost last week to Vanderbilt).
No celebrity appearances have been announced yet, but with the show being in Nashville, you can assume there will be plenty to choose from this week.
College Gameday airs Saturday morning beginning at 10.
