LIV Golf Strikes Major Global Broadcast Deal with DAZN

DAZN has struck a deal with LIV Golf to air LIV events in Canada, Austria, Fiance, Germany, Japan, Portugal, Switzerland, and Belgium. The sports and entertainment streaming giant made the announcement on Thursday, revealing that the Saudi-backed league will now be available to watch for free on DAZN in over 200 markets around the world.

Strengthening Existing Broadcast Agreement

This comes two months after LIV Golf agreed to a multi-year deal with FOX for the broadcast of LIV events in Europe, the United States, Australia, Latin America and Asia. However, LIV Golf’s new agreement with DAZN isn’t expected to have any implications on their already existing deal with FOX. LIV Golf anticipates this new long-term partnership with DAZN will enhance the experience of fans and strengthen its global reach.

“DAZN’s cutting-edge technology and unparalleled scale give LIV Golf a significant platform to engage a truly global audience,” LIV Golf’s CEO, Scott O’Neil said in a statement on Thursday. “Our players, teams and schedule span the globe, and it’s important that we continue to connect with fans all over the world as we grow our League in new and exciting markets.”

LIV Golf Set To Go Global With New Broadcast Deal

With the new deal with DAZN, LIV Golf events will be available in over 200 markets to millions of fans around the world. This includes all current events on LIV Golf and any new events that will be produced by LIV Golf in the future. DAZN will also launch a newly dedicated LIV Golf space on the DAZN Platform. This would be co-exclusively for LIV Golf’s owned and operated service globally.

“As a truly global broadcaster, DAZN is dedicated to ensuring that fans in every region can experience the most exciting action from LIV Golf, live and free,” CEO of DAZN Group, Shay Segev said during the announcement. “LIV Golf+ on DAZN will be available alongside DAZN’s extended free content offering, positioning it within an ecosystem that has already captured the attention of golf fans worldwide. This strategic partnership will grow the reach and popularity of LIV Golf, while bringing us closer to building the global home of golf on DAZN,” he added.

LIV Golf and DAZN are also working on plans to develop an enhanced, paid subscription offering for fans in the future. This paid plan will give fans access to premium content and features. Meanwhile, the dedicated LIV golf space is expected to enhance fans’ experience by providing an innovative engagement portal for LIV Golf’s growing catalogue of live, behind-the-scenes, and archived contents. LIV Golf also hopes to take advantage of DAZN’s strong marketing engine to ensure that the new service receives prominent visibility through promotion both on and off-platform.
