DeChambeau Leads LIV Golf Stars In Race For U.S. Open Crown

Bryson DeChambeau enters the 125th U.S. Open at Oakmont as the reigning champion and the leading LIV Golf contender. He won the title in 2024 at Pinehurst by one stroke over Rory McIlroy and aims to become the first player to successfully defend the U.S. Open since Brooks Koepka did so in 2017 and 2018.

DeChambeau Hoping To Make U.S. Open History

DeChambeau will be hoping to make history at this year’s U.S. Open. The 31-year-old, who leads 14 LIV Golf’s players into the tournament, tees off at 7:29 a.m. ET on June 12 alongside Xander Schauffele and José Luis Ballester Barrio. That early start could give the American a clear shot at defending his title.

DeChambeau is the only LIV player to have won the U.S. Open twice. He has also finished in the top six five times in six events since Pinehurst, including a T-5 at the Masters and a T-2 at the PGA Championship. He has seven top-10 finishes in his last 12 majors.
