Bryson DeChambeau Calls Out Tiger Woods’ TGL Team for Explosive 4v4 Showdown

Bryson DeChambeau calls out Tiger Woods’ TGL team, Jupiter Links GC, to square off in a 4v4 match. The bold call-out came during a recent media session, where DeChambeau openly proposed a new kind of team competition.

DeChambeau Wants To Create NFL, NBA Culture In Golf

DeChambeau shared his idea about where golf could go and pointed out how other sports operate. In sports like the NFL or NBA, fans follow teams, rivalries build over time, and there is always something to look forward to. While he acknowledged that golf is mostly an individual sport, he also noted that team competitions like the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup already exist, but creating more team events could further boost fan excitement.

“Imagine creating a culture like the NFL, like the NBA, and I get we’re an individual sport. I understand that but we do play team events, we’ve got the Ryder Cup, we’ve got the President’s Cup, there should be something else. Why not?” DeChambeau told reporters. “How about the Crushers goes up against Jupiter Links in an 18-hole match? 4v4 before stroke play,” he replied when pressed further on whether Tomorrow Golf League could clash against LIV.

The Tomorrow Golf League was co-founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy and is a team-based competition played in a high-tech indoor arena that combines real shots with virtual elements. Jupiter Links GC is one of the teams in TGL, while DeChambeau’s Crushers GC is one of the standout teams in the Saudi-backed LIV Golf.

When the reporter pushed further, asking how such a match could actually be arranged and if he wants such a match to be an indoor or outdoor event, DeChambeau replied: “I mean we can just call them out right now, say let’s go do it… let’s play outdoor golf, real golf.”

Fans Excited About Potential Crushers vs. Jupiter Links Showdown

Fans online have quickly weighed in on the proposed team event, with many voicing their approval. While it is still unclear whether Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy would be open to the idea of Crushers facing Jupiter Links, this hasn’t stopped fans from getting excited about the prospect.

“People will hate on this, but it would be fun…And you KNOW the haters would be watching,” a fan posted. “This matchup would break the internet and everyone knows it,” another fan added.

However, one fan wasn’t particularly optimistic that this event could happen but insists that many fans would be happy if it ever comes to fruition.

“That would be great. I’m sure the PGA Elitists would be against it. But there are enough golfers on both the PGA and LIV that would endorse this an love to play in it. If Tiger or Rory don’t want to they don’t have to. Even if it’s a November “The Match” type event. Broadcast it on a non PGA or LIV Network like ABC and there will be no issues. I like and watch both Tours so this would be pretty cool. I think most of us feel that way. Instead of “USA” chants you’ll hear “PGA” or “LIV” chants,” the fan said.

While no official plans have been announced, DeChambeau’s bold challenge has already sparked conversation across the golf world. If such a crossover event were to materialize, it could mark a significant step toward blending individual and team formats in modern golf.
