The recent announcement to bring back a third season of reality television show Full Swing on Netflix, has many PGA fans in a frenzy. Now coming back for the third time, the athletes in this upcoming season will be those who have a grasp on the current climate of golf as it stands today. With the No. 1 ranked golfer in the world being Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, LIV competitor Bryson DeChambeau, Gary Woodland, and even Keegan Bradley.

Major Announcement on the Netflix Show Full Swing

Scheffler main attraction

Scheffler is arguably coming off one of the strongest 2024 seasons seen in quite some time. He was able to snag nine wins in his run worldwide, which included victories like the Masters and Fed-ExCup. Not only did his accomplishments come at a high rate in this stage, but maybe the biggest stage of them all as well. Scheffler brought home an Olympic gold medal during his time in Paris for competition. Truly showcasing how dedicated and respected he is in the game, but also having a few mishaps along the way.

In this new season of “Full Swing”, there will be clips shown from the PGA Championship in which the prominent star was arrested after an incident with local police officers. He has since been vindicated, with all charges ultimately dropped and allowing Scheffler to continue on in his career. The felony charge had been placed on Scheffler for reported assault on a police officer and three misdemeanors. Unlike anything ever seen in the sports, he was right back on the course in time to tee off and continue on with the competition. With his personal segments of the show, the world will be able to get more insight on just exactly how that day played out for Scheffler.

Gary Woodlands battle back

If there is any athlete showing their full dedication to not only fans but his peers as well, it is Gary Woodland. Woodland has recently made his comeback to the sport after a brain surgery in September, to remove a benign tumor. After taking time off to complete his road to recovery, Woodland made his long awaited debut at the Sony Open. Not only did the star shock many in the sport with his comeback, he finished 16th after having thoughts on if the game would ever come back to him. Although, the most recent action for Woodland has been his withdrawal from the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open. According to reports from fellow competitor Jason Day, “Maybe the players don’t want a quick turnaround from the American Express in Palm Springs.” As those can only speculate until reports from Woodland himself come out, it is an unfortunate loss to the field of play.

Captain Keegan Bradley

Bradley will have a chance for some screen action in this new season, as his journey from missing the 2023 Ryder cup to now being a 2025 captain has come about. With six PGA Tour wins and two Ryder Cup appearances under his belt, Bradley is more than qualified to hold the position. “My passion and appreciation for golf’s greatest team event have never been stronger,” Bradley said. “The Ryder Cup is unlike any other competition in our sport, and this edition will undoubtedly be particularly special given the rich history and enthusiastic spectators at this iconic course.” Now getting his chance to represent the United States come time for the Ryder Cup, all eyes will be on Bradley. He currently sits tied for 30th place in the 2025 Farmers Insurance, needing a spark to jump up in the leader boards after round three. The new season of “Full Swing” on Netflix is set to drop in February of this year, with much excitement building up daily. Many athletes will get the chance to give PGA fans a deeper look into their daily life, as well as ups and downs.
