Football Friday Tailgate Recipe: War Damn Eagle Spicy Seasoned Pretzels

Happy Football Friday we are now EIGHT days away from the kickoff of the 2021 college football season. It is the perfect time to start collecting some tried and true tailgate recipes.  It is week seven of the Football Friday Tailgate Recipe. Did you save the Drink Like A Champion recipes?  You might need something to sip on with this week’s recipe. For week seven we have a super easy snack that you can make a couple of days before.  They are the perfect little snack for tailgating.  It was sent to me by my long-time friend Cori Bateman. She married into an Auburn family so I added the War Damn Eagle for her.  Y’all enjoy!

War Damn Eagle Spicy Seasoned Pretzels

16 oz (1 lb) bag tiny twist pretzels

1 cup vegetable

2 teaspoon garlic powder

2 tsp lemon pepper

3 tsp cayenne pepper (we like spicy!)

1 package of dry ranch mix

Pour oil and spices into a gallon Ziploc bag. Seal and shake to evenly combine the oil with spices

Add in pretzels, seal up Ziploc bag, and shake to combine.

Leave them in the Ziploc bag and allow pretzels to soak up the seasoned oil for at least 6 hours, or ideally for 24 hours. Turn bag to shake up pretzels every few hours.

Variations:

You can also make this with saltines or oyster crackers.

For kids use only Ranch – they love it!

On The Menu

See you next Friday for week eight of the Football Friday Tailgate Recipe. Up next week we have a sweet treat that is easy as well and can be made in large batches for Saturday tailgating snacks.
