We finally had a breakout week with the Big 12 week nine picks. Both the moneyline and against-the-spread selections went 5-1. Totals were also good to us as we went 4-2. Last week was so good, we even successfully locked one up for only the second time this season! With teams now at the second bye week part of the season, the schedule offers only five games this week. But as the nation polishes off mounds of Halloween candy, do the Big 12 week 10 winners have any more treats for the public? All lines are courtesy of FanDuel.

Big 12 Week 10 Winners
Texas Tech (+12.5) At #11 Iowa State
The Big 12 week 10 winners slate does not kick off until 3:30 pm EST on Saturday. Once the public comes off the rush of the Big 10 showdown between Penn State and Ohio State, they could witness history in Ames. Joey McGuire’s team is down worse than at any other point in the season. Meanwhile, Iowa State is looking to start 8-0 for the first time in program history. Texas Tech has to live out its “Brand” to stay competitive in this one. That will keep the Red Raiders within the number, but Iowa State keeps on trucking to a potential play-in game against Kansas State to close out the season.
#17 Kansas State (-12.5) At Houston
Kansas State got its scare last week from Kansas. Houston has already exceeded year-one expectations under Willie Fritz. That said, Chris Klieman will have this team re-focused. Houston’s defense will limit the Wildcats offense to some extent. The issue is that Houston has struggled all season in scoring. The Cougars haven’t scored more than 17 points in seven of their eight games. Points will be hard to come by in this one. However, Kansas State should coast to any easy and comfortable victory over Houston.
Arizona (+6.5) At UCF
By the rules that govern a college football game, this game must have a winner and a loser. There is no bigger bad vibes game between two teams in the Big 12 week 10 winners slate. UCF fired its defensive coordinator and Gus Malzahn turned over play-calling duties this week. Arizona looks like a team without any identity under first-year head coach Brent Brennan. The teams have combined to lose nine straight games. So Last Word would advise looking elsewhere in the Big 12 week 10 winners for a more confident selection. That said, UCF’s defense has been dreadful against the pass and Arizona has Tetairoa McMillian. So that will allow Arizona to keep it close, but we will take the home team to find a way to get an outright win.
Arizona State (-3.5) At Oklahoma State
This line originally opened this week at Arizona State -1. Those with eyes, a brain, and access to a sports book quickly jump all over the Sun Devils as this number has shot up an additional two-and-a-half points. Even with the number growing as quickly as it has, this is still a slam-dunk pick. Yes, Oklahoma State is wearing some sweet throwback uniforms this week. But they don’t do anything remarkable on offense or defense this season. Kenny Dillingham’s team is coming off a bye week and is also getting their starting quarterback Sam Leavitt back from a rib injury. The misery continues in Stillwater.
TCU At Baylor (-3.5)
Wrapping up the Big 12 week 10 winners slate brings us to Waco for The Revivalry. Both teams have an opportunity to notch their third consecutive victory with a win. TCU has beaten Baylor five straight and nine of the last ten in this matchup. But the nod here goes to Dave Aranada’s team. They have found sustainable offensive success with Sawyer Robertson at quarterback. And while TCU does get credit for beating Texas Tech last week, that was more at the hands of the Red Raiders losing the game and not so much Sonny Dykes’ team winning it. The Bears are the hotter team of the two right now. Lock up the Bears to stay hot in an offensive explosion in Waco.
