Tony Rojas Signs with Penn State
Four-star linebacker Tony Rojas signs with Penn State. The linebacker will be enrolling early and will be at Penn State in January. The Virginia product is a four-star recruit according to the 247Sports Composite ranking. He is listed at six-foot-two inches and 200 lbs. Rojas is the second-ranked recruit out of Virginia. The Fairfax, Virginia native is the sixth-ranked linebacker in the 2023 recruiting class. He will join a long line of greats at Linebacker U.

Rojas won’t be the only child in the family at Penn State. His sister also attends the university, so he will have familial support when he arrives. Rojas was a two-way player in high school for Fairfax. He played running back, and receiver, in addition to multiple defensive positions. Rojas committed to the Nittany Lions in July 2022 after visits to Georgia and Miami. The linebacker also played basketball in high school. A multi-sport athlete that chose to pursue football at the next level.
Rojas has plenty of room to grow when he gets on campus in January, but that is mainly in the weight room. In addition to basketball, he played soccer growing up. He didn’t focus on football until high school. Rojas has plenty of speed, can engage with his lower body, and is well-centered. He can shed blocks and drop back into coverage. Rojas is a very versatile linebacker that will fit perfectly in Manny Diaz’s defense.
