Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators coaching staff continue to stay hot on the recruiting trail with another blue chip commit. Rivals250 recruit and four-star running back Terrance Gibbs announced that he has verbally committed to the University of Florida.
Gibbs makes his commitment to the Gators after recently taking an official visit to the University of Florida. The in-state running back has always been a priority target for the Gators and becomes the first Florida running back commit since the 2019 recruiting class when Florida signed four-star Nay’Quan Wright.
Gibbs is a 6-1, 200 pound running back is a well-rounded running back that can run in between the tackles and also be used in the passing game. Gibbs has really good vision with the ball in his hands and is also difficult to tackle. He also showed good speed in his Hudl film but Gibbs is coming off a torn ACL this season it’ll be interesting to see how he recovers from the injury.
With Gibbs’s commitment, the Florida Gators now have nine commits in their 2022 recruiting class including six four-star commits. Florida now has the 13th ranked recruiting class in the country.

Gibbs is a four-star running back out of the Winter Park High School in Winter Park, Florida. The newest Florida commit is one of the top ranked running backs in the state of Florida and nation.
During his recruitment, Gibbs received 28 offers from some of the elite college football programs in the country. He had offers from schools like Alabama, Auburn, Florida, FSU, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Texas and Texas A&M.
On ESPN, Gibbs is the 173rd ranked recruit and the fifteenth ranked running back in the country. On Rivals, Gibbs is the 220th ranked recruit and the fourteenth ranked running back in the country.
