Dan Mullen and his coaching staff have signed one of the offensive commits in their class. The three-star quarterback and Florida commit Jalen Kitna has signed his NLI to play at the University of Florida. This is a good signing for the Gators as Kitna has been really impressive during his senior season.
Mullen likes Kitna’s skill set as he has the potential to make a big impact on the Gators’ offense in the future. Additionally, Kitna is one of two quarterbacks the Gators will sign in their 2021 recruiting class. He will also be enrolling early at the University of Florida.
Who is Jalen Kitna?
Jalen Kitna is a three-star quarterback out of Burleson High School in Burleson, Texas. The Florida quarterback commit is one of the top pro-style quarterbacks in the country. During his recruitment, Kitna signed with Florida over Arizona, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Oregon State, Tennessee, and Yale.
On the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Kitna is the 634th ranked recruit and the 26th ranked pro-style quarterback in the country. Meanwhile, on ESPN, Kitna is the 24th ranked pro-style quarterback in the country and the 53rd ranked recruit in Texas.
The Gators have added another quarterback who could really make an impact in the future. Being an early enrollee, Kitna will enroll at Florida in January and get the chance to learn the playbook quickly. Kitna will be in the same quarterback room with Emory Jones, Anthony Richardson and 2021 signee Carlos Del Rio.
