The University of Michigan is continuing to bolster its offensive line. Four-star offensive lineman recruit Jeffrey Persi has officially committed to the Wolverines. Persi is the third offensive lineman that the Wolverines have recruited in this year’s class.
Who Is Jeffrey Persi?
Jeffrey Persi is 6’7, 275-pound offensive lineman from Mission Viejo, California. Attending JSerra Catholic School, Persi was an integral piece to their offensive line, going to the quarterfinals as a junior with a 9-3 record. As a member of the CIS-SS Division 1 group, Persi’s JSerra Lions possessed a 6-5 record in his senior year.
After starting as a tight-end, Persi converted to being an offensive lineman. This led to Persi being a four-star recruit on 247Sports, where he is the 26th-best offensive tackle in the country and the 25th-rated player out of California. Persi is also a four-star recruit for Rivals.com as well as ESPN.
His size and physicality on the offensive line awarded Persi all-league and all-state honors. Along with Reece Atteberry and Zak Zinter, Persi will be a critical member in strengthening the pass protection for the Michigan Wolverines.
