Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators coaching staff have signed one of the top safeties in the country. Four-star safety Rashad Torrence II has signed his NLI to the University of Florida. This is a big signing for the Gators as Torrence is one of the biggest hitters in the Florida Gators class. Mullen likes Torrence’s skill set as he’s a good fit and can make an impact on the Gators defense. The Gators are in need of safeties as that’s one of their biggest weaknesses. Torrence is one of three safeties that is signing with Florida Gators with Tre’Vez Johnson and Mordecai McDaniel.

Rashad Torrence II is a four-star safety out of Marietta High School in Marietta, Georgia. The Florida commit is one of the top safeties in the country. He was a tough get for the Gators as Florida had to battle with some top programs for him. Torrence really took off in recruiting once he committed to the Florida Gators. Torrence signed with Florida over Alabama, Clemson, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, Stanford, USC and Wisconsin.
On Rivals, Torrence is the 186th ranked recruit and the 12th ranked safety in the country. On the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Torrence is the 335th ranked recruit and the 32nd ranked safety in the country. The Gators have added a really solid safety who could really make an impact in the near future. Being an early enrollee, Torrence will get enroll at Florida in January and develop with the Florida coaching staff earlier than most commits.
