The Florida Gators picked up their biggest win so far this season as they defeated the Auburn Tigers 24-13. Florida proved to the entire nation that they’re truly a top 10 team in the country. Gators quarterback Kyle Trask looks pretty solid throwing the football around in the game. Senior running Lamical Perine had his best game of the season and topped it off with an 88-yard rushing touchdown. The story of the game was how dominant the Florida Gators defense was and how they made Bo Nix look like a freshman quarterback. Florida’s defense kept them in the game and did a great job of making Auburn’s offense one dimensional.

Auburn Tigers
The Auburn Tigers dropped their first game of the season with a conference loss to the Gators. The Tigers offense didn’t have an answer for Todd Grantham and the Gators defense. Freshman quarterback Bo Nix had his worst game of his young collegiate career. Nix completed 11 out of 27 passes for 145 yards, one touchdown and he threw three interceptions. Nix also had eighteen rushing yards on ten carries. Running back JaTarvious Whitlow led the Tigers in rushing as he had eighteen carries for 81 yards. Sophomore wide receiver Seth Williams was really the only offense player that showed up. Williams had four receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown.
On defense, the Auburn Tigers played well as they were able to put pressure on the quarterback and force some turnovers. ZaKoby McClain led the Tigers in tackles with ten including 1.5 sacks. Linebacker K.J. Britt had a strong performance as he had five tackles and a sack. Senior defensive tackle Derrick Brown was terrific against the Gators to nobody’s surprise. Brown had four tackles, a sack and recovered two fumbles. Christian Tutt and T.D. Moultry both recorded sacks in the loss against the Florida Gators.
