Dreshun Miller Bails On SEC For Mountaineers

Dreshun Miller was long considered a solid LSU commitment, as he gave his verbal pledge to the Tigers way back in June. Miller, however, visited Texas A&M and West Virginia late in the cycle. And he particularly liked what he saw in Morgantown in early December. As a result, the SEC flip delivered his letter of intent to the Mountaineers today.

A Georgia native, Miller spent time at Eastern Arizona College preparing for Division I football. He emerges as a top-ten junior college prospect for the class of 2019, and he will have three years to play two for the Mountaineers. Cornerbacks coach Doug Belk worked his magic again in Georgia, and the relationship between Belk and Miller solidified the commitment.

The 247Sports composite has him as four star recruit.

Miller said that he appreciates the importance of the Mountaineers to West Virginians.  “That’s a big deal for me that they care so much,” he said. It will be a big deal to Mountaineer fans, too. Loyalty and love of the state will endear players to fans quickly in Morgantown. Miller has that figured out early. And fans will learn soon enough how useful his speed and coverage skills will be as he competes for a spot in the cornerback rotation. Miller will enroll in January, so his work begins soon. Expect to see this young man compete for a spot on our five biggest surprises list as soon as next season.
