Tigers Have Momentum Going Into Bye Week

The LSU Tigers are off in Week 9, and are looking ahead to their November 5th matchup with the top ranked team in the country, Alabama. Week 8 brought forth a huge conference win for the Tigers against #23 Ole Miss. LSU thumped the Rebels with a 38-21 win. Leonard Fournette rushed for a school-record 284 yards. The Tigers are now 3-0 under head coach Ed Orgeron, and things are beginning to turn in the right direction. As they prepare for their tough task at hand next weekend, LSU has all the momentum on their side heading down the stretch.

Bye Week Strategy:

Going into the bye week, all of the focus is on the upcoming matchup with Alabama on November 5th. This is a pivotal game for both teams, as perhaps an SEC West title will be at stake. .The entire offense will need to be a key factor in their game against the Tide if LSU wants a big win at home. If the offense can continue to find the endzone, they could potentially pull off the biggest upset of the year. Having the momentum on their side is a big thing for LSU. Orgeron is proving to be the next head coach for the Tigers. Sealing a crucial win against division rival Alabama would help his cause a lot. If he can lead his team to a few more big wins down the stretch, expect him to remain head coach and get a nice contract after the season is concluded.

Aside from having all of the momentum on their side, Fournette returned and looked at full strength. No one expected him to play that great of a game on Saturday night. Well he proved us all wrong. Aside from Fournette, Danny Etling and the rest of the team had a phenomenal game as well. The momentum for the Tigers is on all three aspects of the team. The Tigers monstrous defense has come to play as well. They were able to contain Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly in the second half, which helped the team tremendously. If they can contain the Alabama offense, LSU could leave with a huge win.

Momentum Shift Brings in Recruits:

For LSU, their season has turned completely around with Orgeron taking over. With him running the team, the Tigers have put up record numbers through the past 3 games. Orgeron has been coaching to give recruits a reason to come to LSU. Orgeron is a phenomenal recruiter, and many expect him to bring in the top recruiting class in the nation if the athletic director promotes him to full-time head coach.

As the momentum continues to shift, so do the the high profile recruits . If the Tigers pull off the miraculous win, the high school players will want to play for a prolific team that has a big boost of confidence for years to come. In past years, the team has experienced bad luck with momentum going into the stretch. The tiger faithful are hoping that the hype stays with the team the rest of the way.
