WTA Mérida Best Bets Including Katie Boulter vs Camila Osorio

WTA Mérida is entering the round of 16, and the competition is pretty fierce. Like yesterday, we grabbed whatever competitive matches we could and put together a best bets article for you. Did you make any money from our bets yesterday? Some hit, and some didn’t. Please share your thoughts on our choices in the comments section.

WTA Mérida

Bucsa – Stakusic: Time 17:30

H2H: 0-0

Cristina Bucsa vs Marina Stakusic was not the match I had on my bingo card for this round. I thought that Bucsa’s play this year, combined with Donna Vekic’s talent, would see Vekic through to the round of 16. That’s not how it worked out at all. Bucsa took care of Vekic in straight sets, only losing five games in the process. That gave Bucsa her second win of the year. Stakusic hasn’t won a WTA-level event since WTA Tampico in 2024.

Best Bet to Make

The books have this as a push or a slight Stakusic lean, but I do not agree. There’s the obvious matter of World rankings, where Bucsa is ranked no. 63, and Stakusic is no. 142. Stakusic is still a young competitor and is growing her game, but Bucsa should be winning matches like this by now in her career. There’s simply too much value to pass up betting on Bucsa in this one.

That being said, Bucsa winning is a value bet for sure.

Arango – Bouzkova: Time 13:30

H2H: 0-0

Emiliana Arango will play Marie Bouzkova for the first time in her career. Arango is no. 59 in the World, and Bouzkova is no. 34 in the World. Neither woman is off to a great start in 2026. The two women combine for a record of 5-11 overall. Arango is 1-5 overall, and Bouzkoa is 4-6 overall. While Bouzkova is on a three-game losing streak, Arango just snapped a six-match losing streak in the first round here at WTA Mérida.

Best Bet to Make

The books have Bouzkova as a strong favorite, and I get why. The average odds are about 3.65-1.28 in favor of the Czech. Arango is having an extremely rough period right now. She’s just 2-8 in her last 10 matches and finished only 1 game above .500 last year. Meanwhile, Bouzkova is coming off a fairly solid 2025, winning 31 games and one tournament title. Bouzkova winning 2:0 at 1.8 on bet365 is where I would put my money for this match.

That being said, Bouzkova winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.

Boulter Osorio: Time 16:00

H2H: 1-1

Katie Boulter and Camila Osorio will meet for a career rubber match. Their last match was played at the 2023 WTA Cincinnati tournament in the qualifiers. Osorio is 10-4 in 2026, but Boulter is no slouch at 7-3. Boulter is also coming off a final win at WTA Ostrava 2 against Tamara Korpatsch in three rounds. Osorio also has a title in 2026, hers coming from WTA Manila.

Best Bet to Make

The books see this one being played fairly close. Some books have it as a push, and others see Osorio as the slight favorite. I think Osorio has probably played a tougher road to get here than Boulter. Nothing against WTA Ostrava 2, but WTA Manila featured better players. Osorio is also 9-1 in her last ten matches. I think Osorio wins this match straight up.

That being said, Osorio winning is a value bet for sure.
