It’s the battle of the Karolinas as Karolina Muchova takes on Karolina Pliskova. These two haven’t played since the 2021 Australian Open, but Muchova has the last two wins, the aforementioned Australian Open and a round-of-16 Wimbledon match that went to a tiebreak in 2019. Pliskova did win their 2019 Australian Open first-round match, though.
Best Bet to Make
The books have Muchova as a strong favorite. The odds sit at 4.5-1 in favor of Muchova. There’s really no way to cash in if you’re taking Muchova straight up. You’ll want to stick to a correct score or over/under bet if you’re hoping to make money. You can get Muchova 2:0 at 1.61 on 1xBet, but I like the over on 19.5 games played at 1.83 on bet365. Of all the matches these two have played, only one featured fewer than 19 games played.

Ann Li vs Elisabetta Cocciaretto is one of the more interesting matches of the round. Cocciaretto had one of the biggest upsets of the tournament in taking down Coco Gauff in straight sets. The only one that might be stronger was Pliskova’s win over Amanda Anisimova. Li last beat Coccioaretto in 2025 at WTA Guangzhou. Cocciaretto took down Li a few weeks ago at WTA Hobart. Both matches were in the round of 16 or later.
Best Bet to Make
The books see this match as a push. In fact, the average odds are 1.89-1.89. It’s an average of 14 different betting sites. Some books have Li as the favorite, and others have Coccioretto. I would avoid picking in this match and take the under on 20.5 games instead. Their last match was a three-round affair, and their previous match went 19 games. These two tend to battle back and forth, and that provides for great entertainment, but difficult betting choices.

Iga Swiatek vs Darya Kasatkina is our featured match. Swiatek has dominated this match throughout her career. She has beaten Kasatkina six times, only losing once. Kasatkina’s only win was a round-of-16 match at the 2021 WTA Eastbourne tournament. Swiatek also beat Kasatkina here in 2022 during the round of 16. Swiatek is also a three-time winner at Doha and was a semifinalist last year.
Best Bet to Make
Swiatek is a large favorite in this match. Kasatkina is an 11-1 underdog on one site, the largest I could find. You can’t even make money taking a correct score bet unless you’re willing to pick the underdog. The bet I like most is the under on 17.5 games at 1.96 on 1xBet. That seems like the surest way to cash in on such a lopsided match.
