The WTA Australian Open final is here. The 2026 final will be a repeat of the 2023 final between Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina. The rivalry between these two is really intense, and this should lead to some spectacular play. LWOS has our best bets for both players, and we’d love to hear yours in the comments section.
WTA Australian Open Final
Sabalenka – Rybakina: January 31st, 2025 00:30
H2H: 9-7
Sabalenka and Rybakina will add another chapter to their storied rivalry. In fact, this will be their third match at a Major and their second final together here in Australia. Sabalenka beat Rybakina in the 2023 Australian Open final in three sets. That win was the first time Sabalenka won a Major, and it would be the first of her three Australian Open titles thus far, and now she’s going for her fourth.
Sabalenka is 10-0 in her last ten matches, and she’s 11-0 in 2026. Her road to the final includes wins over Anastasia Potapova, Victoria Mboko, Iva Jovic, and Elina Svitolina, just to name a few. Sabalenka has been so dominant thus far this year that she hasn’t even lost a set, though she did go to two different tie-breaks against Potapova and one against Mboko. This would be Sabalanka’s fifth Major title, should she come out on top.
Elena Rybakina has been one of the few players who has been a constant thorn in Sabalenka’s side. She has seven wins against Sabalenka, and the latest win came in the final of the WTA Masters Cup. This is Rybakina’s chance to get revenge for her loss in the ’23 Australian Open final. Rybakina’s only Major win came at the 2022 WTA Wimbledon Open. Fortunately for Rybakina, her road to this final should have steeled her ambitions and play.
Rybakina’s road to the final included victories over Jessica Pegula, Iga Swiatek, Elise Mertens, Tereza Valentova, and Varvara Gracheva. I would argue she’s had the tougher road to the finals and might be slightly more prepared because of that. Beating Sabalenka is no small task, but Rybakina has proven up to the challenge time and again.

Best Bets to Make
Main Bet
Sabalenka is the favorite in every book. The average is 1.59 to 2.35, and 1.63 points is the highest for Sabalenka. Sabalenka 2:0 goes for 2.63 on Bet365 and 2:1 tops out at 4.20 on several sites. Nine of their 16 matches have gone to a third set. Keep this in mind if laying down on total games played was something you were considering. Betting on Sabalenka straight at 1.63 is probably one of the more worthwhile lines you’ll see.
That being said, Sabalenka winning is a value bet.
Value bet/ the best odds: Sabalenka winning @1.63 @Pinnacle
Second Bet
If you’re taking Elena Rybakina, it’s wise to take her straight up at 2.45 on Unibet. Rybakina has actually done fairly well against Sabalenka in matches played in the quarterfinals or later. She’s 5-6 all-time against Sabalenka in those matches. It’s not a winning record, but it’s close to being 50:50, and that’s more than enough. I actually think Rybakina will win this match, but that’s more of a gut feeling than anything else.
That being said, Rybakina winning is a value bet.
