The quarterfinals of the WTA Australian Open get underway tonight. Three of the four matches feature an American, with four total in the round. Sabalenka – Jovic: Time 16:30

Aryna Sabalenka will meet Iva Jovic for the first time in the quarterfinals. The upstart American beat Yulia Putintseva and Jessica Paolini, among others, to reach the quarterfinals. Sabalenka, as usual, pretty much dominated everyone on her way here. The only match she had to truly fight to win was her match against Anastasia Potapova, which featured two tiebreaks. Sabalenka has two wins here at the Australian Open and is looking for a third.
Best Bet to Make
It shouldn’t be a big surprise that Iva Jovic is a 5-1 underdog. I won’t say a Jovic victory would be impossible, as Sabalenka has had some close sets, but nobody has truly pushed her, or taken a set from her. Sabalenka is 10-0 in her last ten matches, and Jovic is 8-2, with losses to Elina Svitolina and Elisabetta Cocciaretto. Sabalenka 2:0 at 1.55 on Ladbrokes or the over on 19.5 at 1.9 on 1xBet would be my two picks.
That being said, Over 19.5 games is a value bet for sure.

Gauff – Svitolina: Time 00:00

Coco Gauff will meet Elina Svitolina for the fourth time in her career. Gauff is 2-1 in her career, with her latest win coming in the third round of the 2024 US Open. That said, Elina Svitolina beat Gauff here at the Australian Open back in 2021 during the second round. Can she pull off this feat once more? Gauff is 7-1 so far in 2026, but Svitolina is 9-0 this year, and 10-0 in her last ten matches.
Best Bet to Make
While Gauff is a 1.25-point favorite in this match, I think Svitolina is the better player right now. Svitolina has one title already and knows that she can beat Gauff in this competition. Gauff also hasn’t looked fantastic in her last two matches, going three sets with both Karolina Muchova and Hailey Baptiste. Meanwhile, Svitolina has made short work of just about everyone she’s faced this year. Only one of her last ten matches went to a third set.
That being said, Svitolina winning is a value bet for sure.
