US Open Best Bets Including Katie Boulter vs Marta Kostyuk

The final Major of the year is upon us, as the WTA US Open begins play. Last year’s tournament had an incredible final, which featured Aryna Sabalenka outlasting Jessica Pegula 7-5, 7-5 to win her third major. She’s followed up with two more Major finals this year, but has yet to win a fourth. I aim to cover as many of the first-round matches as I can, but we start with the most competitive when it comes to betting opportunities. Let me know if you agree with my best bets in the comments section.

WTA U.S. Open

Vekic – Bouzas Manerio: Time 17:00

H2H: 1-0

Donna Vekic and Jessica Bouzas Maneiro lead off our best bets coverage. The two haven’t met since 2021’s WTA Tenerife, where Vekic took the match in straight sets. Even though Bouzas Maneiro lost that match, she enters this match as a favorite, having gone 7-3 in her last ten matches. Vekic is 4-6 in her last ten and only 12-20 for the entire year. Vekic does have a WTA US Open quarterfinal under her belt, but that happened back in 2019. Last year, Vekic made the round of 16, and Bouzas Manerio made the third round.

Best Bet to Make

As stated, Bouzas Maneiro is the favorite in the match, but the line is fairly close for all of Vekic’s 2025 failures. In most cases, the two ladies are within .5 points of one another. Some outlets even have them within .25, so the books aren’t totally sold on Bouzas Maneiro taking the match. It has really been just these last four months where Bouzas Maneiro has come to life. Vekic has yet to make it past the round of 16 in any tournament this year.

That being said, Bouzas Maneiro winning is a value bet for sure.

Baptiste – Siniakova: Time 17:00

H2H: 0-0

Katerina Siniakova enters her first match with Hailey Baptiste in the best form possible. She’s fresh off a tournament victory at WTA Warsaw 2 and a quarterfinal at the Livesport Prague Open. Baptiste enters the match struggling lately. She’s just 4-6 in her last ten matches, and she hasn’t won a tournament since 2023. Siniakova has picked her tournament appearances wisely in 2025, boasting an overall record of 27-17. Baptiste has never made it out of the first round in New York, and Siniakova once made the third round in 2018.

Best Bet to Make

The books have Siniakova as a favorite, and I agree. Baptiste just hasn’t had it in the back half of this year. She’s 26-20 overall, but it had been since June since she’s gone past the third round in a tournament before making the round of 16 at WTA Cleveland in August. Siniakova is 14-6 on the year and is at least a .75 point favorite on most books. Expect her to make short work of Baptiste.

That being said, Siniakova winning is a value bet for sure.

Boulter – Kostyuk: Time 17:00

H2H: 1-0

Katie Boulter has one previous match against Marta Kostyuk, which took place in the final of the WTA San Diego in 2024. The match went three sets, with Boulter easily winning the last two after losing the first one 5-7. Kostyuk will be looking to build on her third-round showing at the Open last year, while Boulter hopes to make it to the second round again as she did in 2024. Both ladies are primarily hardcourt players, and this should make this one of the better matches of the day.

Best Bet to Make

Kostyuk is the favorite in this match, and it’s by over a point. That means the books are pretty confident that she will cruise past Boulter. At 4-6 in their last ten matches, Boulter and Kostyuk find themselves in the same form. The line on this one truly boggles the mind, as Boulter is 17-15 this year to Kostyuk’s 21-17, so it isn’t their overall record or current form driving these lines. Making this all the more weird, Kostyuk is coming off an injury in August, and this is her first tournament back. Give me Boulter in the upset.

That being said, Boulter winning is a value bet for sure.
