The 2025 ATP Cincinnati Open final is set and pits world No. 1 Jannik Sinner against No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz in a blockbuster showdown. It’s going to be their 14th career meeting and fourth this season. This is their first final on a hard court, and they will give everything they have to win this high-stakes battle. As always, we at LWOT will offer predictions for the final, but which player will lift the trophy?

Jannik Sinner vs Carlos Alcaraz

Head-to-Head: Sinner 5-8 Alcaraz

Defending champion Jannik Sinner had to battle hard in the first set of his semifinal match against the inspired Terence Atmane. Sinner stepped up his return when it mattered and got the job done. The Italian hasn’t played at his absolute best this tournament, but he has won all five of his matches in straight sets, with his service getting broken only three times throughout the competition. However, he will need to bring his best to beat Carlos Alcaraz and extend his win streak to 13 matches.

Carlos Alcaraz’s level has been up and down throughout the tournament, but he has managed to reach another final, his sixth in a row. He will look to get revenge on Sinner for the Wimbledon loss. His performance in the first set against Alexander Zverev was impressive, and if he can maintain that level of serving, he will considerably boost his chances of winning.

Both players are well-versed in each other’s game at this point and are confident that their top level is capable of winning the match. It will come down to who can execute their game plan better. First serve percentage would be a key factor, and neither player can afford to be lower than 55. Sinner is on a 26-match winning streak on this surface, giving him a slight advantage. Alcaraz tends to lose focus at times, which improves Sinner’s chances. After five straight losses against Alcaraz, the Wimbledon win was huge for Sinner mentally, and I think he takes this one.

Prediction: Sinner in 3
