Carlos Alcaraz Crosses $6 Million In Prize Money, Stays Ahead of Jannik Sinner

Carlos Alcaraz continued his dominance over Jannik Sinner and the rest of the ATP Tour in the 2025 prize money standings after a thrilling French Open title win earlier this month.

Alcaraz beat Sinner in a five-set epic, which lasted five hours and 29 minutes–the longest final in the tournament’s history–to defend his crown at Roland Garros. The victory cemented Alcaraz’s spot as the top prize money earner this season.

Alcaraz Eclipses $5 Million In Prize Money To Lead Standings

Alcaraz received €2.55 million (the equivalent of $2.9 million) as champion, although he reportedly would pay a handsome amount of nearly half of it in taxes. The Spaniard’s total prize money exceeded the $5 million mark, becoming the first man to do so in the current season.

Alcaraz has amassed $6,877,646, having competed in nine tournaments. He has won four titles in total, with the French Open accounting for the bulk of his prize money. Alcaraz has also clinched titles in Rotterdam, Monte Carlo, and Rome.

Sinner remains in the second spot, having earned $4,279,480. Admittedly, Sinner has played in only three tournaments. He served a three-month suspension from the tour after his Australian Open win in January. He marked his return at the Rome Masters in his home country, where he lost to Alcaraz in the final. Sinner has featured in every final of all the tournaments he has played in since the Cincinnati Masters last August.

Alexander Zverev ranks third in this list and is the latest player to cross the $3 million mark in prize money. Jack Draper and Casper Ruud complete the Top 5.

Former World No. 1 Novak Djokovic is down in seventh spot. Djokovic has topped the prize money charts in successive seasons in the past, but honors a very limited schedule these days. Still, he remains the highest earner in career prize money with over $180 million.

For context, tennis prize money is the amount players are awarded based on their performances in ATP or Grand Slam tournaments and does not include off-court income generated through sponsorship deals and appearance fees.
