ATP Doha Best Bets Including Alcaraz vs Lehecka

ATP 500 Doha quarterfinals

Berrettini – Draper: 20.02.2025 17:00 CEST
H2H: 0-1

Matteo Berrettini has won three of his last five matches. So far this season, he has played only six matches and holds an even 3-3 record. It is his third appearance in Doha. In the opening round, Matteo upset Djokovic in straight sets, as we predicted. Today, in the second round, he won against Griekspoor in three sets, as we predicted. The last time he played here was in 2019, losing against Bautista-Agut in the opening round.

Jack Draper has won four of his last five matches. So far this season, Draper has only played at the Australian Open. He retired in the 1/8-Finals against Alcaraz after losing the second set 1-6. Jack had his off-season ruined by a hip injury. Jack won the opening match against Popyrin this week in Doha in straight sets. He offered and saved only one breakpoint. Today, in the second round, Jack demolished O’Connell in straight sets. Last year around this time, Draper played in Los Cabos, losing in the opening round against Kokkinakis in three tight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Draper is the slight favorite in this matchup, and we agree. He dominated in both matches this week in Doha. On the other hand, Matteo struggled against Griekspoor today, winning after spending almost three hours on the court. He is physically not in his best form, and we believe he will suffer tomorrow against Draper.

That being said, Draper winning is a value bet.

Alcaraz – Lehecka: 20.02.2025 15:30 CEST
H2H: 1-0

Carlos Alcaraz has won seven straight matches. Two weeks ago in Rotterdam, Carlos won the title, winning against de Minaur in the final as we predicted. Carlos defeated Cilic in the opening round in tight straight sets this week in Doha, as we had predicted. In the second round, Carlos won against Nardi in three sets today. Earlier this season at the Australian Open, Carlos reached the quarterfinals, losing against Djokovic in four tight sets. Around this time last year, Carlos skipped all tournaments between the Australian Open and Indian Wells.

Jiri Lehecka has won four of his last five matches. The last match he played before the ATP Doha was in Rotterdam two weeks ago. He retired in the 1/8-Finals against Hurkacz mid-match. However, this week in Doha, Lehecka looked fully fit on the court. He defeated Dimitrov in the opening round, winning in straight sets. Lehecka offered and saved two breakpoints. He broke Dimitrov’s serve once in each set, enough for a comfortable win. Today, in the second round, Lehecka won against Marozsan in straight sets, as we predicted.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Lehecka is the big underdog in this matchup, but we disagree. Jiri thrives on fast, hard courts. He dominated in both opening matches. On the other hand, even though Carlos had a favorable draw so far, he still struggled in both matches. We expect Lehecka to keep this match tight.

That being said, Lehecka covering the games handicap is a value bet.
