ATP Montpellier Best Bets Including Mannarino vs Gasquet

ATP Montpellier 1/16-Finals

Mayot – Rinderknech: 28.01.2025 20:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting

Harold Mayot has lost three of his last five matches. So far this season, Mayot has played three tournaments already. At the beginning of the season, Mayot reached the quarterfinals of the Canberra Challenger tournament, losing against Fonseca in straight sets. He then failed to qualify for the Australian Open main draw tournament. Last week in Quimper, Mayot lost in the opening round against Benoit Paire in three sets. He was 4-2 up in the deciding set but fumbled under pressure. This is his second appearance in Montpellier. Last year, Harold reached the quarterfinals, losing against Auger-Aliassime in straight sets.

Arthur Rinderknech has lost four straight matches. His last win was almost three months ago in Paris. So far this season, Arthur played in Brisbane and Adelaide at the beginning of the season, preparing for the Australian Open. He lost in both tournaments in the opening round. Two weeks ago in Melbourne, Rinderknech put up a big fight against Tiafoe in the opening Australian Open round, losing in five tight sets as we predicted. He never had any success in Montpellier. His biggest result was reaching the second round in 2023, losing against Coric in straight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Mayot is the underdog in this matchup, but we disagree. We expect a very tight match that could go either way. Mayot had a decent run last season, reaching the quarterfinals. On the other hand, Arthur never had any remarkable results in Montpellier.

That being said, Mayot covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Harold Mayot +2.5 games handicap @1.80 @bet365

Mannarino – Gasquet: 28.01.2025 18:30 CEST
H2H: 1-3

Adrian Mannarino has lost four straight matches. So far this season, he has played six matches and holds a losing record of 1- 5. Last week in Quimper, Mannarino lost in the opening round of the Challenger tournament, losing against McDonald in three tight sets. This is his eighth appearance in Montpellier. The last time he played here was in 2022, when he reached the quarterfinals, losing against Zverev in straight sets.

Richard Gasquet has lost three of his last five matches. So far this season, Gasquet has played only two tournaments and has a record of losing 1-2. At the beginning of the season, Richard failed to qualify for the main draw tournament in Brisbane. A week later, Richard failed to qualify for the Australian Open, losing against Ajdukovic in straight sets. Last year in Montpellier, Richard lost in the opening round against Llamas Ruiz in straight sets. Gasquet has already won the title in Montpellier four times.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Mannarino is the slight favorite in this matchup, and we agree. Even though he is out of form, Adrian is a better hard-court player than Gasquet. We saw that two years ago in Cincinnati when Mannarino defeated Gasquet easily in straight sets. We expect a similar outcome tomorrow as well.

That being said, Mannarino winning is a value bet.
