After comfortably winning the first set 6-4, Davidovich Fokina looked unserious on the court. He made too many unforced errors and looked disinterested. In Adelaide, Alejandro defeated Bautista-Agut in straight sets in the opening round. Around this time last year, Alejandro did not play any preparation tournaments besides the United Cup.
Sebastian Korda has lost three of his last five matches. The last match he played was at the US Open last August. Since then, Sebastian has not played any competitive matches. Korda underwent surgery on his right elbow, which is why he skipped the second part of the 2024 season. We are not sure if he is 100% ready at this moment.
