Hassan – Paul: 27.11.2024 03:00 CEST
H2H: 1-0
Benjamin Hassan has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Yokohama, Hassan reached the semifinals, losing against Shimizu in straight sets. It was a solid tournament for him, as he got closer to the top 200 in the rankings. So far this season, Hassan spent most of the time playing at the Challenger Tour level. His most significant results at the Challenger level were reaching the semifinals several times. Other than that, Benjamin successfully qualified for the main draw tournament of the Masters Madrid tournament.
Paul Jakub has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Yokohama, Jakub lost the opening main draw match against Svrcina in straight sets. Here in Yokkaichi, Paul successfully qualified for the main draw tournament. Jakub defeated unranked player Yamanaka in straight sets in the first qualifying round. After that, in the final qualifying round, Paul won against Saitoh in tight straight sets. He is currently transitioning from the ITF level to the Challenger Tour level.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, this should be an almost 50-50 match. Benjamin Hassan is currently a better and more experienced player than Jakub. Paul struggled in his final qualifying match against a player outside the top 500 in the rankings. On the other hand, Hassan already has some decent results at this level, so we believe that his experience and current form will prevail in this match.
That being said, Hassan winning is a value bet.

Negritu – Bellucci: 27.11.2024 03:30 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Christoph Negritu has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Yokohama, Negritu lost the opening main draw match against Lestienne in three tight sets. Here in Yokkaichi, Christoph successfully qualified for the main draw tournament. In the first qualifying round, Negritu defeated Hazawa in straight sets. After that, in the final qualifying round, Negritu defeated Matsuda in three tight sets. The German was once again great under pressure.
Mattia Bellucci has won three of his last five matches. This has been a breakthrough season for the young Italian. Last week in Yokohama, Mattia lost his opening match against Wu Tung-Lin in three tight sets. Here in Yokkaichi, Bellucci is the 2nd seed. So far this season, Mattia has played at the highest level, with decent wins. He reached the quarterfinals in Atlanta and made it to the 2nd round as a qualifier in Washington. He hopes for a solid result this week to reach the top 100 in the rankings.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Bellucci is the big favorite in this matchup, and we agree. Mattia is a way better player than Negritu. We believe he will continue to play well and go deep this week. Even though he is the second seed, we expect him to win this tournament. He loves to play under these conditions.
That being said, Bellucci covering the games handicap is a value bet.
Value bet/ the best odds: Mattia Bellucci -5.5 games handicap @1.91 @bet365
