Bautista-Agut – van Assche: 15.10.2024 13:30 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Roberto Bautista-Agut has won three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago in Shanghai, Roberto lost his opening match against Carballes Baena in three tight sets. Agut is outside the top 50, and his recent performances have been poor. He has almost no points to defend in the upcoming tournaments, so we believe that he will be aiming for his return into the top 50 in the rankings. Last year around this time, Agut played in Stockholm, where he was stopped by Ymer in the opening round.
Luca van Assche has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Roanne, van Assche reached the semifinals, where he lost against Bonzi in straight sets. Here in Antwerp, Luca successfully qualified for the main-draw tournament. In the first qualifying round, van Assche defeated Sels in straight sets. After that, in the final qualifying round, Luca won against Marti Pujolras in straight sets. Luca made himself famous last year, when he made his top 100 debut. However, with his recent fitness problems, van Assche lost his top 100 status.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, this should be a 50-50 match. Luca has already played two solid matches here in Antwerp. We believe that he will be fully confident coming into this match, and dominate from the very start.
That being said, van Assche winning is a value bet.

Giron – Van de Zandschulp: 15.10.2024 13:30 CEST
H2H: 2-1
Marcos Giron has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Shanghai, Marcos reached the third round, where he lost against Goffin in three tight sets. He is looking for a solid result this week to cement his top 50 status. Last year around this time, Marcos played in Basel, where he lost against Humbert in the opening round. So far this season, Giron had his biggest result in Newport, where he won the title, winning against Michelsen in the final.
Botic Van de Zandschulp has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Shanghai, Botic lost in the second round against Etcheverry in three tight sets. Botic had a solid last season, where he had his biggest results. However, this has been a bad season for the Dutchman. He was inconsistent throughout the whole season. Last year in Antwerp, Botic lost his 1/8-Final match against Tsitsipas in straight sets.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, this should be a 50-50 match. Both players struggled throughout the whole season. However, Marcos played a solid tournament last week in Shanghai, where he defeated Khachanov and Tu. On the other hand, Botic lost against Etcheverry, who is a clay court specialist. We believe that Giron will be a better player tomorrow, and dominate from the very start.
That being said, Giron winning is a value bet.
