ATP Antwerp Best Bets Including Lehecka vs Munar

Jiri Lehecka in action ahead of the ATP Winston Salem Open.

ATP 250 Antwerp 1/16-Finals

Lehecka – Munar: 15.10.2024 12:00 CEST
H2H: 1-0

Jiri Lehecka has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Shanghai, Lehecka lost in the third round against Rune in straight sets. Lehecka had a solid season despite missing a couple of tournaments this season due to injury. He has no major points to defend for the rest of the season, so this will be a big opportunity for him to get into the top 30 in the rankings. Last year around this time, Lehecka played in Stockholm, where he was upset by Dino Prizmic in the opening round.

Jaume Munar has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Shanghai, Munar lost his second round match against Lehecka in straight sets. Jiri was a better player throughout the whole match, and won deservedly. Munar loves to play on the slow clay courts, where he had the biggest results of his career. So far this season, Jaume has yet to win a match on indoor hard courts. The Spaniard is struggling on the fast courts such as this one. Last year in Antwerp, Munar lost against Lajal in the opening round.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Jiri is the favorite in this matchup, and we agree with that. Lehecka can perform on any surface. On the other hand, Munar never had any success on indoor courts such as this one. We believe that Lehecka will win once again against Jaume.

That being said, Lehecka winning in straight sets is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Jiri Lehecka winning 2-0 @1.91 @bet365

Vatutin – Gaston: 15.10.2024 12:00 CEST
H2H: 1-0

Alexey Vatutin has won four of his last five matches. Last week in France, Vatutin played in the challenger tournament, where he lost in the second round of the tournament against Chidekh in straight sets. Here in Antwerp, Vatutin successfully qualified for the main-draw tournament. In the first qualifying round, Alexey defeated Hanfmann in straight sets. In the final qualifying round, Vatutin defeated Guinard in three tight sets.

Hugo Gaston has lost seven straight matches. Last week in Shanghai, Gaston lost his opening match against Munar in straight sets. If he continues playing like this, Hugo will soon drop outside the top 100 in the rankings. Gaston had his biggest results of the season on the clay courts, which cemented his top 100 status. However, after his loss against Berrettini in the Kitzbühel final, Gaston was winless on the hard courts. His last hard court win was in Rotterdam in February. Last year in Antwerp, Gaston reached the quarterfinals where he lost against Marterer in straight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Gaston is the slight favorite in this matchup. Vatutin is a solid player on fast courts such as this one. He is still far away from the biggest stage. However, we believe that he will have a decent chance against Gaston tomorrow. Gaston is in terrible form, and we believe that his losing streak will continue.

That being said, Vatutin winning is a value bet.
