ATP US Open Best Bets Including Sinner vs Michelsen

Jannik Sinner in action at the ATP Miami Open.

ATP US Open 1/32-Finals

Sinner – Michelsen: 29.08.2024 18:00 CEST
H2H: 1-0

Jannik Sinner has won six straight matches. Last week in Cincinnati, Jannik won the title, winning against Tiafoe in the final as we predicted. En route to the final, Sinner won against some great players such as Rublev and Zverev. Yesterday, Jannik won his first round match against McDonald in four sets as we predicted. The world number 1 is coming up into this tournament as one of the biggest favorites. Last year in New York, Jannik lost in the fourth round against Zverev in five tough sets.

Alex Michelsen has won four of his last five matches. Alex is one of the biggest American hopes, so he hopes to make the home crowd proud. Last week in Winston-Salem, Michelsen reached the final where he lost against Sonego in straight sets. Here in New York, Alex won his opening match against Spizzirri in easy straight sets. Alex looked comfortable on the court, and stayed consistent throughout the most part of the match.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Jannik is the favorite in this matchup. We believe that he is the biggest favorite to win the title here in New York. Michelsen showed some solid tennis recently, but is still far away from Jannik´s level.

That being said, Sinner winning in straight sets is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Jannik Sinner winning 3-0 @1.58 @bet365

Purcell – Paul: 29.08.2024 23:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting

Max Purcell has lost three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago in Cincinnati, Max lost his second round match against Carreno-Busta. Yesterday, in the battle between the Aussies, Purcell managed to win in straight sets against Vukic as the underdog. Max served well throughout the whole match, losing his serve only once. Purcell never made it past the second round at the Grand Slam level.

Tommy Paul has lost three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago in Cincinnati, Tommy lost his opening match against Cobolli in three tight sets. A week before that, Paul lost his second round match in Montreal against Nakashima. Those two preparation tournaments did not go well for him. Yesterday, Paul dominated in his opening match against Sonego. Besides losing the third set 5-7, Paul looked sharp throughout the whole match. The Americans are expecting a lot from him, especially because he will have the help of the home crowd. Last year in New York, Tommy reached the 1/8-Finals where he lost against his fellow American, Ben Shelton, in four sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Tommy is the big favorite in this matchup. We believe that he will win this match. However, Purcell is a great server, so we expect him to get some easy points on his serve. We believe that he will keep this match tight.

That being said, Purcell covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Max Purcell +6.5 games handicap @2.00 @bet365
