Adrian Mannarino National Bank Open

11 matches are scheduled on Monday at the ATP Winston-Salem Open, including two second-round matches. Former champion Adrian Mannarino is in action as he looks to find some form this week. As always, we here at LWOT will offer our predictions for every match on the slate for day 2. But who will advance?

ATP Winston-Salem Day 2 Predictions

Christopher O’Connell vs Strong Kirchheimer

Head-to-Head: First meeting

Christopher O’Connell has had a hard time this year after a good start to the season. He has lost eight of his last 10 matches and is in serious need to get some wins. He has a good first-round match though, in the form of, Strong Kirchheimer, who has come through qualifying and will play just his second main draw match at the ATP tour level. Kirchheimer hasn’t had much success on the Challenger tour either. The Australian is in bad form but he should get the win here.
Prediction: O’Connell in 2

Learner Tien vs Tristan Schoolkate

Head-to-Head: First meeting

This is an exciting battle between two young and upcoming talents who have come through qualifying. Learner Tien has been on a tier at the Challenger circuit which earned him a US Open main draw wild card for the third consecutive year. Tien will play his first ATP tour match and is the favorite to come out on top. Tristan Schoolkate doesn’t have much experience at this level either and will play his third main draw match. Schoolkate has a bigger serve but Tien is a more solid player.
Prediction: Tien in 3

Federico Coria vs Dominic Stricker

Head-to-Head: First meeting

Federico Coria has played just one match on hard courts all year, at the Australian Open. His career win percentage on this surface is 20 and plays his best tennis on clay. Dominic Stricker has not won a main draw match this year but got to the quarterfinals of a Challenger last week. He has more match practice on hard courts which gives him the edge over Coria.
Prediction: Stricker in 3

Adrian Mannarino vs Aleksandar Vukic

Head-to-Head: First meeting

Adrian Mannarino has lost nine matches in a row but has shown signs of life in his last two matches. Mannarino has to defend a lot of points in the rest of the season and he better get his form back. He is a former champion of the Winston-Salem Open but has a tough second-round match against a dangerous player. Aleksandar Vukic came back from a set down against Daniel Evans in the first round. He played flawlessly in the third set and if he can bring that serving level again, it would be extremely tough for the Frenchman. Mannarino will give his all to avoid another loss but Vukic is too solid currently.
Prediction: Vukic in 3
