ATP Halle Day 2 Predictions Including Jannik Sinner vs Tallon Griekspoor

Defending champion Alexander Bublik and the elite talent Jannik Sinner are in action on day 2 of ATP Halle in Germany. We have predictions for every day 2 match.

Jannik Sinner vs Tallon Griekspoor

Sinner is 4-0 vs Griekspoor in the last two seasons, the Dutch player will have confidence coming off the Den Bosch semis on grass and his 20-15 mark this season is quite impressive, Roland Garros semifinalist Sinner is making his season debut on grass. Sinner is 33-5 on the year overall but just 12-9 on grass, the h2h is too much to ignore though, Griekspoor can play well but still probably come up short against the Italian Sinner’s heavy artillery. Arthur Fils vs Tomas Machac

Fils is 18-16 on the season, and 1-4 in his career on grass, the two newly top 40 players are in a rich vein of form in recent months. Machac is 18-11 on the season, but 0-2 in his career on grass, will the third time be the charm or will Fils get the better of him? it’s a bit of a coin flip, but Machac’s game doesn’t inspire confidence on this surface so far and Fils has a bit more upside. Alexander Bublik vs Max Purcell

Purcell came through qualifying, a 9-17 record on the season and a 4-9 career record on grass are not terribly impressive though. Halle defending champion Bublik at 20-14 on the year is at a career high ranking, he also has a very impressive 30-17 career mark on grass overall. Bublik should be able to power through this opening match, with greater challenges on deck. Bublik in 2
