ATP Hertogenbosch Best Bets Including Paul vs Popyrin

Tommy Paul in action ahead of the ATP Dallas Open.

ATP Hertogenbosch 250 1/8-Finals

Korda – Nardi: 13.06.2024 Time TBA
H2H: first meeting

Sebastian Korda has won three of his last five matches. In his first round match here in Hertogenbosch, Korda won against the young Australian, Schoolkate, in two tight sets. Sebastian served well, hitting 15 aces, and saving all three breakpoints. He also had 32 winners with only 5 unforced errors. Looking at his previous grass court results, his best result was in London, where he reached the semifinals of the ATP 500 London, where he lost against Carlos Alcaraz.

Luca Nardi has lost three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago, Nardi lost in the first round at the French Open against Muller in straight sets. Luca played his debut match on grass last year at Wimbledon, where he lost in the second qualifying round against Taro Daniel. Two days ago, Nardi made his debut at the ATP main draw level. He won against David Goffin in straight sets. It was overall a low quality match with many breaks of serve, which is unusual for such a fast surface. Both players made many unforced errors.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Korda is the favorite in this matchup. We believe that he will perform well this year on grass. His first round match was great, and we believe that he is overall a way better grass court player than Nardi.

That being said, Korda winning in straight sets is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Sebastian Korda winning 2-0 @1.91 @bet365

Popyrin – Paul: 13.06.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 1-2

Alexei Popyrin has lost four of his last five matches. He had a terrible losing run on the clay recently. Popyrin loves to play fast tennis, so the grass court surface is his favorite one. In his first round match here in Hertogenbosch, Alexei won against Hijikata in two comfortable sets. Popyrin lost his serve at the beginning of the first set and was 0-3 down in the first set. However, once he got adapted to the surface, there was no stopping him. Last year in Hertogenbosch, Popyrin lost in the second round against Tallon Griekspoor.

Tommy Paul has won three of his last five matches. The last match that he played was against Cerundolo in the third round at the French Open, where he lost in four sets as we predicted. Paul also loves to play on grass. The last match he played on grass was last year in Newport, where he lost against John Isner in the quarterfinals. Last year in Stuttgart, Tommy lost in the second round against Struff in two tiebreaks.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Paul is a slight favorite in this matchup. Looking at their previous grass court results, Tommy did way better than Popyrin. Paul is the second seed here, and we believe that he could win the tournament.

That being said, Paul winning is a value bet.
