ATP French Open Best Bets Including Zverev vs Griekspoor

ATP Hamburg finalist Alexander Zverev in action.

ATP French Open 1/16-Finals

De Minaur – Struff: 01.06.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 3-2

Alex de Minaur has won four of his last five matches. Being an Australian, Alex did not play much on clay throughout his career. It is safe to say that this is his least favorite surface. His biggest result this season on clay was reaching the quarterfinals in Monte Carlo, where he lost against Djokovic in straight sets. After that, de Minaur had some solid wins, such as one against Nadal in Barcelona. Here in Paris, de Minaur absolutely dominated against Michelsen and only lost three games in the first round match. After that, De Minaur dominated once again, winning against Munar in straight sets. This year, Alex looks confident playing on clay. Last year in Paris, de Minaur lost in the second round against Etcheverry in straight sets.

Jan-Lennard Struff has won three of his last five matches. The German always showcased his best tennis on clay. In the first round, Struff won against the young Argentinian Burruchaga in straight sets. Yesterday, Struff had another great performance, winning against Bublik in three sets whilst dropping only 7 games. Last month, Struff won his maiden title in Munich. After that, Struff had another strong performance in Madrid, where he almost won against Alcaraz.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, this one should be a 50-50 matchup. Even though De Minaur is playing his best tennis, we still believe that Struff is a way better clay court player than he is. Jan has also shown great tennis this week in Paris, so we believe that he will win this match.

That being said, Struff winning is a value bet.

Zverev – Griekspoor: 01.06.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 3-1

Alexander Zverev has won 8 straight matches. Last week, Sascha lifted the title in Rome after beating Nicolas Jarry in straight sets. We all know how things went down when Zverev got injured against Nadal in the semifinals of the French Open two years ago. If he had not got injured, we believe that Zverev would have had a decent chance at winning the title. This year in the first round, Zverev defeated Nadal in straight sets as we predicted. Yesterday, Sascha had another great performance, winning against Goffin in three sets. Zverev feels comfortable on the court and is currently one of the biggest favorites to lift the title this year.

Tallon Griekspoor has won four of his last five matches. In the first round, Griekspoor won against McDonald in four easy sets. Yesterday, Tallon was an underdog against the young Italian, Darderi, but still came out as the winner. Griekspoor was dominant from the very start and won the match in straight sets. Last year in Paris, Griekspoor lost his second round match against Hurkacz in five sets.

Best Bet to Make

Zverev is currently the best player in the world just by looking at his current form. We believe that he will have no problems in this match, so we expect him to win in straight sets yet again.

That being said, Zverev winning in straight sets is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Alexander Zverev winning 3-0 @1.83 @bet365—–
