Alexander Shevchenko has won three of his last five matches. Last week, Shevchenko played a challenger tournament in France where he tried to get some wins and momentum going on before the French Open. He lost there against Bagnis in three sets in the 1/8-Finals. Shevchenko played his first round match yesterday in Rome, where he won against Marozsan in straight sets. He did not offer any breakpoints in the match, and was really dominant on his serve. It is worth mentioning that Marozsan played a terrible match. Last year in Rome, Shevchenko lost in the 1/16 Final against Sinner in three sets.
Karen Khachanov is in solid form. He has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Madrid, Khachanov lost in the 1/8-Finals against Sinner in three sets. He played a great match, and was close to winning the match against one of the best players at the that moment. Before that, Khachanov reached the quarterfinals in Monte Carlo where he lost against Tsitsipas in straight sets. Last year in Rome, Khachanov lost his first match against Barrere in three sets.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Khachanov is a huge favorite in this match. However, looking at the first round match, Shevchenko played a great match against Marozsan. Khachanov did not show much last year in Rome, so we believe that this match might be tight.
That being said, over 21.5 games in a match is a value bet.

Alexander Zverev has won three of his last five matches. This is his favorite part of the season considering how good he performs on the clay. Last week in Madrid, Zverev got upset by Cerundolo in straight sets. Before that, Zverev was upset by Garin in straight sets in Munich, at home. So far this season, Zverev is yet to win the title. Last year in Rome, Zverev lost in the 1/8 Final against Medvedev in straight sets. We all know how things went down last year in the French Open where Zverev lost against Ruud in the semifinals. He is a great clay court player, but we are still waiting for his best results on the clay this season.
Aleksandar Vukic has lost five of his last six matches. Being an Australian, Vukic played most of his matches on the fast hard courts. He has played 10 matches on clay this season so far, and has a losing 4-6 record. However, yesterday Vukic played a great match against Schwartzman in the first round. He saved 8/8 breakpoints, and looked comfortable on the court. Vukic is a great server, and this surface in Rome looked faster than last year, so that should help him.
Best Bet to make
According to the bookies, Zverev is a huge favorite in this match. We believe that he will win this match, but not as easily as the bookies think. Vukic is a great server, and we expect him to win some easy games on his serve.
That being said, Vukic covering the games handicap is a value bet.
