ATP Miami 1/16-Finals
Popyrin – Marozsan: 25.03.2024 16:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Alexei Popyrin has been playing well lately. He won 5 out of his last 6 matches. Both matches in Miami went smoothly for him. Popyrin won both matches in straight sets. In the 1/32-Finals, Popyrin won 6-4 6-4 against Lehecka. He was an underdog in this match, but managed to win easily due to his big serving. His opponent, Maroszan, is shining in Miami. Marozsan won his last match against Rune in straight sets as a big underdog. No one expected this, but Marozsan absolutely destroyed Rune in the 1/32Finals in Miami. It was just overall an outstanding performance from the Hungarian. Bookies are predicting this one as an even match. However, we believe that Marozsan showed more consistency lately. If he could play like he did against Rune, this would be another easy match for him!
Value bet/ the best odds: Marozsan to win @1.73 @bet365
De Minaur – Struff: 25.03.2024 17:30 CEST
H2H: 2-2
Alex de Minaur did not have the tournament he wanted at Indian Wells this year. He lost in the 1/8-Finals against Zverev. The young Australian is seeded here, so he has only had to play one match until now. He got very lucky with the draw and played against Kwon, who is totally out of form. De Minaur won 6-3 6-2, but struggled on his serve at some times. He will face Jan-Lennard Struff tonight, who won against him in their last two meetings. Struff loves this kind of surface, where his serve and big forehand are especially dangerous. He is also seeded and only had to play one match. He won against Altmaier in straight sets. Struff had 19 winners and only 8 unforced errors, which is brilliant! Struff is considered to be a big underdog in this match. He already showed that he can play and win against de Minaur. We believe that this will be a close match and that Struff has a decent chance tonight!
Value bet/ the best odds: Struff +4.5 games handicap @1.67 @bet365
Korda – Hurkacz: 25.03.2024 19:00 CEST
H2H: 1-3
Sebastian Korda needed some time to adjust to the surface in Miami. He won in the 1/32-Finals against Bautista Agut in three tough sets. Korda was set and broke down, but managed to come back. After losing his serve at the beginning of the second set, Korda served perfectly. He was able to find his rhythm and was unstoppable from that point on. His opponent, Hubert Hurkacz, also had to fight in three sets to come through. He played against Shevchenko in a match where Hurkacz served 28 aces. Hurkacz did not offer any breakpoints and was unplayable on his serve. We believe that we will watch a similar performance from him tonight yet again! It is good to mention that Korda served 21 aces in the match against Bautista Agut. We believe that Korda and Hurkacz will have a similar performance tonight and that we will watch at least one tiebreak. Other than that, it is hard to predict a winner here, so we also might expect three sets!
