ATP Miami Day 6 Predictions Including Carlos Alcaraz vs Gael Monfils

Carlos Alcaraz celebrates victory in Indian Wells.

After some rain delays, the excitement returned to the Hard Rock Stadium as the party in Miami entered Day 6. Amongst the fascinating matches on the cards is that potentially explosive one between entertainers, Carlos Alcaraz and Gael Monfils. Who will advance to the quarterfinals?

ATP Miami Day 6 Predictions

Lorenzo Musetti vs Ben Shelton

Head–to–Head: Musetti 1-0 Shelton

Ben Shelton broke Martin Landaluce once in each set of their third-round encounter to clinically end the Spanish teenager’s debut at ATP Miami. His opponent, Lorenzo Musetti, will be a sterner challenge for him, though, as the Italian dominated Roman Safiullin in straight sets in their third-round clash. However, Shelton will be a hard one to crack at Hard Rock.

Prediction: Shelton in 2

Karen Khachanov vs Francisco Cerundolo

Head–to–Head: Khachanov 2-0 Cerundolo

Former semifinalists square up in what promises to be an interesting encounter. Karen Khachanov hadn’t made it beyond the third round in six attempts until last year, while Cerundolo strolled into the semis on his 2022 debut. They’re both in patchy form at the moment, but based on their pedigree here, I’ll back the Argentine to produce an upset.

Prediction: Cerundolo in 3

Grigor Dimitrov vs Yannick Hanfmann

Head–to–Head: First Meeting

Yannick Hanfmann has been a different player since arriving at ATP Miami, with two superb three-set victories over Emil Ruusuvori and Adrian Mannarino. Grigor Dimitrov, on the other hand, had to maneuver to secure a comeback win over the resurgent Alejandro Tabilo in the previous round. He required a tiebreaker to even sets, and from then on, it was smooth sailing. He should be able to ride the wave of Hanfmann’s challenge.

Prediction: Dimitrov in 3

Carlos Alcaraz vs Gael Monfils

Head–to–Head: Alcaraz 1-0 Monfils

Expect plenty of glitz and entertainment in this one as two animated players clash for the second time in their careers. While Monfils is capable of beating any player when he is in the mood, this will be a bit far-reaching for him. Carlos Alcaraz is at the peak of his powers, and he’ll be gunning for a second win against the Frenchman as he continues his quest to clinch a second title here in three years.

Prediction: Alcaraz in 2
