WTA Indian Wells 1/64-Finals
Kerber – Martic: 06.03.2024 20:00 CEST
H2H: 1-1
Angelique Kerber is a veteran german player. She only won once this year at the United Cup! Kerber has lost her last three matches. We can see that she is struggling on the court. Her return has been terrible, and it seems like her reaction time is not on point. Footwork is also a little bit slower, which is normal considering her age. She also did not play any matches in February, and it will be very interesting to see how she will perform tonight! Her opponent, Petra Martic, had some wins and losses this year. She is trying to get back into the top 50 rankings. This is a big tournament for her and if she could play consistently again, she might do it! Petra Martic is fitter and in better form at the moment. We believe that if she stays mentally calm, that she will win easily tonight!
Value bet/ the best odds: Petra Martic -3.5 games @1.83 @bet365
Maria – Rus: 06.03.2024 20:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Tatjana Maria has already played many tournaments this season. She has not been consistent, but she played a lot and managed to get a couple of wins. Maria desperately needs points here in order to stay in the top 50! Maria is a great server and, usually, if she can get her first serve percentage up, she manages to play well. Her opponent, Arantxa Rus, had a similar season thus far. She lost her last three matches and most of them were really tight. Rus does not have a good history in Indian Wells. Both players are in a similar form and have similar rankings. We expect Maria to serve well and hold her service games consistently. Her return is terrible, so we may not see so many breaks in this match. All being said, we believe that the overgames is set too low. It is hard to predict a winner here, but we believe that this match will maybe even go the distance.

Kessler – Parrizas-Diaz: 06.03.2024 23:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting
McCartney Kessler is playing her best tennis. She won the challenger title last week in Puerto Vallarta. Conditions were pretty similar, like in Indian Wells. At the beginning of the month, she won an ITF title in the States as well. This is definitely the biggest tournament of her young career. If she could get a win or a couple of wins, she might break into the top 100 rankings. Her opponent, Parrizas-Diaz, started the year really well, winning the challenger title in Canberra. After winning the title, she has not been that consistent. To come into the main draw in Indian Wells, she had to play two qualification rounds. Parrizas-Diaz won both matches, but she did not play her best tennis. Both matches were really tough and also really long matches. She had spent almost 5 hours already playing in the heat. We believe that Kessler is in better form at the moment. She is also playing at home, and we believe that she is a more rested player for this match.
