ATP Doha 250 1/16 – Finals
Zhang – Musetti: 19.02.2024 Time TBA
H2H: first meeting
Even though Zhang lost his last two matches, he finally started playing better. His last match against Shevchenko was a really solid match from him, and we believe that he will also start winning those matches from now on. If his backhand works in his favor, he should have an advantage in the rallies over Musetti. His opponent, Lorenzo Musetti, also lost his last two matches, but we have to mention that he did not play well at all. He made lots of unforced errors, and it seems that his head is not in the right place at the moment. Almost every time there is a big point to be played, he loses his focus and cracks under pressure.
With all being said, we can not agree with the bookies favoring Musetti in this matchup. He is just too inconsistent at the moment and with Zhang playing better and better, we believe that Zhang has a good chance to win here!
Value bet/ the best odds: Zhang to win @2.20 @bet365
Maroszan – Kopriva: 19.02.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 1-1
After playing pretty solidly in Australia, Maroszan lost both of his matches since then. However, both of his opponents are really solid players. Maroszan is trying to break into the top 50 rankings and if he can play like he did in Australia, it should not be a problem for him. ATP Doha is an outdoor hardcourt tournament where he usually plays his best tennis, so that goes in his favor! His opponent, Vit Kopriva, has already played two qualification rounds here in Doha, where he has won 2-0 in both of his matches. He played pretty solid. This year, he has been competing mostly on the challenger tour, and we are not sure if he is ready to step up to the main draw ATP tournament. This will be a big test for him, and it’s really hard to predict the winner in this matchup. We strongly believe that this matchup will be a tough one for both players, and we might expect three sets or even two long sets with possible tiebreaks. All being said, we believe that over games is a value bet, and you should definitely go for it!
Value bet/the best odds: over 22.5 games @1.83 @bet365
Fucsovics – Bautista Agut: 19.02.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 2-3
Fucsovics played really well last week in Rotterdam. His form is getting better and if he could keep this level he could easily come back in the top 50 rankings this year. His serve was almost perfect in Rotterdam, he had many free points because of it. Those two wins against Maroszan and Struff were dominant ones, and we hope that he has got his self-confidence back. His opponent, Bautista Agut, a 35-year-old veteran, is really struggling with his form. He has lost 5 out of his last 6 matches and one win that he has got was against Gasquet, who is also in terrible form. It looks like his age and fitness are a concern. He does not move well at all on the court and his groundstrokes are weak. With all things being considered, we do not give any chance to Bautista Agut as we believe that his form is just too bad at the moment, and we do not see how he could play better this week.
Value bet/the best odds: Fucsovics to win 2-0 @2.50 @bet365
